The Emotional Life of Objects

The Emotional Life of Objects exhibition brings together several artists working in different mediums whose works explore the relationships between people and objects, revealing rich narratives of history, identity, loss and comfort. Installed in the George Paton Gallery at the University of Melbourne 11-14 May, composition works respond to these artworks as well as the composers personal objects of significance, exploring the ways sound can act as an emotional conduit to memory, history, time and place.

I have contributed the electronic work Phosphorescence to the exhibition, after the artwork When Darkness Falls by Elizabeth Rich.

Presented by the Australian Research Council Centre for the History of Emotions and The University of Melbourne.
