Resonating Spaces - Rarotonga - Cook Islands

Over 10 days 20 Interactive Composition students and staff (Anthony Lyons and Mark Pollard) from the University of Melbourne create audiovisual composition responses to the island of Rarotonga. They will interact with the local community and environment to explore issues of sustainability, climate change, cultural context, site, history, community and topography in response to locations and people of the Cook Islands. This culminates in the creation of 21 unique sound and vision snapshots of Rarotonga presented as a series of installations at the Punanga Nui market. (With many thanks to the New Colombo Plan, the people of the Cook Islands, University of the South Pacific and the University of Melbourne for making this happen.)
